Appointment of new interim minister to St Thomas a Becket and St Matt’s, Widcombe, Bath
We are delighted to welcome our new part-time Interim Minister, Revd Laura Doe.
An interim minister is appointed to lead a parish to the beginning of the next chapter of its life. Therefore, Revd Laura’s role, during the three years of her appointment, will be to help discern the best shape of ministry for our two churches going forward and, God willing, to give time for the parish to grow and be established on a firm footing for the future.
Revd Laura was ordained in 2019 after studying at Trinity College Bristol. She has a background in Media and International Development and then worked for Alpha and Holy Trinity Brompton, where she went through the ordination discernment process. For the past 5 years she has been working in Bristol Diocese, initially at St Nicholas Bristol and then more recently in the United Parish of Abbots Leigh and Leigh Woods. She is excited to move to Widcombe with her family and for all God has in store for the parish.
