17th January 2021: Sarah Sanderson continues our winter series exploring 2 Chronicles 7:13-15 with a reflection on “If my people humble themselves…” All our service resources for our online service can be found here.
“Being a part of the Church of England is going to look very different in the days ahead. Our life is going to be less characterised by attendance at church on Sunday, and more characterised by the prayer and service we offer each day”.
– The Archbishops of Canterbury and York
Over the last year, church as we know it has been very different but the Church is very much alive! However, due to the conditions prevailing at this time, we are following Church of England and diocesan advice and have moved all our services online until further notice.
On the 1st and 3rd Sundays, there will be an online service available to download. On the 2nd and 4th Sundays, we will be live streaming a Holy Communion service from the side chapel at St Matts at 10.30am. This will alternate between CW and BCP formats. 5th Sundays will vary but please check here for up to date information.
On all Sundays, there will be an informal live Zoom gathering at 5pm. Please go to our contact page and sign up for one of the weekly emails to receive the login links.
On this page you will find the latest online service to download below. You can follow this at your own pace, with audio and visual media of the readings, sermon, intercessions and weekly hymns along with links to our YouTube page.
There are also recordings of the latest sermons from our live services and videos from our latest online services together with links to other resources.
At this time, we really urge you to be praying, along with reading and meditating on God’s word. To help with this, we also provide a guide for daily prayer, which along with other resources, helps to build healthy patterns and routines into our lives in these complicated days.
Please be assured of our ongoing prayers and always remember we are only an email or phone call away.
